I recently installed a program called DreamRender on my
computer. Everything worked fine, until I got a message
when trying to load it saying:
'Failed to initialize 3D Hardware'
Now the program won't work (along with others such as
games). Also the 'Help and Support' pages won't load.
Even worse, my system is now unable to hibernate and the
tab is missing in the power options.
Does anybody know what the problen is or how to fix it?

Hi, have you the latest drivers for your video card, not MS ones, but from
the manufacturers site. Also is directx9.0b installed from windows update?

O.K. A driver was uinstalled and I needed to roll it back
in device manager. It's back to what it was
(S3...something) but I still can't run games, help and
support or hibernate. When trying to play games the LED
flashes and it tries to load something, but then it stops
and the LED only flickers slightly every so often. the
same happens for help and support. the hibernate tab has
completley dissapeared off of the power options window and
I can't even go into standby anymore. HELP!
