32-bit or 64-bit?

I am attempting to install the RPC patch but don't know
if I need the 32-bit or 64-bit for my Windows XP
Professional Upgrade operating system. How do I know
which one I have?

You have the 32-bit version of Windows. The 64-bit version
only runs with high-end Itanium processors and is not available
in retail stores.
