My gateway computer came with Windows XP Home Edition
built in. Every now and then when I'm reading info on
updates and downloads, etc., it will provide different
links depending on whether or not you have the 32-bit
edition or the 64-bit edition....How do I know what mine
is?

By STFW. Please see links one and three in my signature. This is an FAQ and
is asked and answered six times a day at least.

Windows XP Home only comes in a 32Bit edition

.... and even Pro doesn't actually have a '64bit' version .. it only has
an Itanium (and Itanium 2) version. Other 64 bit processors need not
apply. (yet) 8>.
