Ok. I am about to upgrade beta2 to Rc1 yet I don't want to burn a DVD because
it always gets messy and then i waste ten dvd's just for one sucessful burn.
So i was wondering if i could create a partition using disk management, move
the iso file onto it and make it active and boot the iso from there.

I am perfomring a clean install.

You would need to mount the ISO as a virtual drive using Daemon Tools
(http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/announcements.php) or similar.
Alternatively, you could extract the ISO, using Isobuster
(http://www.isobuster.com/) or similar, into a folder and run setup from
there. I have used both methods, especially the second, successfully.
Indeed, using setup from a hard drive as opposed to the DVD gives faster
install times.
