It sounds like it's trying to boot off this new drive;
make sure it's jumpered appropriately; or try sticking it
on the second IDE channel (cable), temporarily removing
any CD or other drives from that cable, for testing
purposes. Then when you start the system, it should boot
properly, and if there are any problems with this new
drive, you'll see them when you try to access it (it may
need partitioning/formatting).

I just purchased a second hard drive, a 20 GB one, when i
plug it in and boot i get "NTDLR missing, press
Ctl+Alt+Dlt to restart". I have no idea whats wrong with
it. The drive is second hand refurbished. Any one have a
magical solution?
