For 2 days i've had problems with google and altavista.
When i disable all network interfaces and ping for example www.google
i still get the address 207.44.220.30. There must be a host file for
wins or something. The default ..\system32\drivers\etc\host. is empty.
another one was situated on c:\windows\help\hosts.
the folowing line was writin in it:

Delete the file and restart your computer and the problem is solved!

There is a whole lot more to it than just deleting the Trojan HOSTS file!
Registry settings and DNS entries need to be corrected ......

Trojan Qhosts hijacks the HOSTS file, however unlike normal redirectors,
this one hides the HOSTS file in the "Windows\Help" folder. It then
creates entries that redirects *all* major search engines to a website.
Note: this website has now been removed, thus the DNS errors.
