If you buy this CD you do not have to go searching
the Net for answers and help, nor contacting
Forums, which, in itself is tedious in
finding the correct Forum ,and having to wait for someone
to post an answer. It is a
collection of Tips etc. acquired over many years starting
with a cassette driven Commodore Pet in the
early 70's, right through to XP Pro.(Not that there are
any Commodore tips, nor Window3x, or 95 on this
CD) (If anyone wants to go
back to learning Commodore Basic they are welcome, but
without me)
The Tips etc .have been acquired through my own
efforts in solving my own problems, and noting
the comments of others in
conversation, and in Magazines, etc. They were a
collection of hastily written notes on
scarps of paper, torn out pieces of paper from articles
in magazines, and news articles contained in
an old
Shoebox.

The compiling of the Tips etc., and
the rewriting of them into legible pieces of help, is
not for the buffs, but it is aimed mainly for
the every day person who struggles with the complexities
of this modern day Wizardry.
I decided in compiling this first Edition that the
best format would be to put them on a CD in order that
they were always to hand. Rather than on a down
load a PTF file, which takes forever to download, well
this one would at 22Meg plus, Or in some paperback which
you can never find. Anyway CD's are the
modern media for Data so why look
backwards. It is in the truest
sense an Electronic Book
You will be able to pull it out of your collection,
stick it in your drive and you're
away. A nice thing to,
is it is not taking up valuable disk space, similar to
what would happen if you downloaded a PDF file of this
magnitude, and then when you liked it, you had to do the
same for the second Edition. The
second Edition (Shoebox) will only be available for
purchase to those people who purchase the
First Edition (Shoebox) this is a deliberate ploy in an
attempt to restrict plagiarism

First of all, this forum is not meant for advertising. This forum is meant
to help folks with problems, suggestions, comments, or anything else
concerning the specific forum subject, pro bono. FREE.

Second, I can't see purchasing something like this anyway, especially when
technology is changing so rapidly and new issues appearing almost daily, to
be of any worth. Trying to find a forum is really not that difficult or even
to post a question for that matter. At least you get to interact with the
folks here and the engineers, with specific issues about your own specific
system issues. After all, you can go to www.jsiinc.com, www.joeware.net, and
many other places, where all the stuff out there are compiled from various
places and more, and they're totally FREE. FREE.

(note: I do not work for JSI or joeware, but Jerry and Joe are MVPs in these
forums, as well as I am, and they offers their help for FREE, as well as the
rest of us in these forums, to anyone that asks for help).

Besides, what's a PTF file??
