200GB 16m cache HDD

Anybody had any problems with Maxtor 200GB 16M cache hard disc drives - its picking it up as 200gb drive in bios, but when you go into XP it will only come up as a 20 gb drive. With any other 200gb drive (8mb cache) it will work fine.......

XP is updated to SP2


any ideas

have u fully formatted it?

try doing this again

i remember i had to do something it might have been something to do with the registry! check out the manufactures website they will knoW!

Click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management
In Computer Management, select Storage -> Disk Management ... right-click the drive and Format it.
