Can I ask for some advice please - I have a hacked copy of Office 2003
(bought as genuine [water damaged stock] off E-bay !! -seller has now
been closed down) - and I now intend to move over to a pucker MS
version of 2007.

On the assumption that I have to un-install 2003, am I likely to lose
all my mail / calendar / contact etc, or does all that stuff get left
behind and then picked by 2007?

I found that in the hacked copy, I could not get access to mail
recipients in new mail (unable to select anything as the contacts
options were empty).

Search for PST files (possibly hidden) on your computer. They contain all
your Outlook data. If you have multiple PST's then usually the larger
contains your most recent data. If Outlook doesn't pick them up after you
install it open them via File | Open and copy data into your new Outlook.

Backing them up prior to installing adds an extra layer of safety.
