Hi all,

I have a Vista Ultimate laptop that is member of our corporate domain. I
need to download and install a client certificate from our CA Server that is
running 2003 sp1. The problem is when I access the enrollment pages, I get a
dialog box saying downloading activex control and it stays there. I have
read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922706/en-us. It states that we must
use the pages from Longhorn. However, I dont have access to Longhorn. How
can I get this to work?

TIA!

I believe this issues will be fixed with SP2 for Windows 2003 Server, but
who knows when that is going to be released.

Here's a couple of things you can try:

Go to a computer that has the Root Cert installed already and export the
Root Cert and then install it on your Vista box. Make sure when you are
installing the root cert you choose the storage container Trusted Root
Certificate Authority, if I remember correctly.
If you install the root cert correctly, you will get a dialog box with the
thunbprint.

You could also ask the Network Administrator to export your client cert for
you, and then install it on your Vista box.

Hope this helps,

OKuma
