Set-up: On a new hard drive, installed Windows XP SP2 with Office 2003.
Opened Outlook 2003 to create new PST, which then moved to a different
folder. Copied old PST (from Windows 2000/Outlook 2000) into the ...\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder. Calendar, Contacts, etc.
seem to be working fine.
Problem: In Mail, when "Schedule an automatic send/receive every x minutes"
is checked, every so often during the send/receive process it'll say Outlook
needs to be restarted.
Other Info: Haven't run into restart need with it unchecked and doing a
(safe but annoying) manual send/receive every once in a while. According to
Help, About Microsoft Outlook, I'm running version 11.5207.5207. With that
same dialog up, when I click Tech Support, the Help tile pops up with a
message "Intentionally left blank for beta version."
Questions: Is this auto-send/receive failure a known issue with my version?
Are there any patches or updates I should download to fix it?
Thanks,
skt
