im having a problem with my hd. this is the first computer
i have built so im pretty new at this. i have a 200 GB HD
but Windows XP is only showing that it is worth 128 GB.
Now i havent formatted the HD yet. if anyone knows how i
can get the full potential from my HD please reply.

To use the FULL capacity of the 200 GB hard drive:

1) Update, if needed, the computer's motherboard BIOS so as to get complete
capacity recognised by the BIOS.

2) Install Windows XP into a small (40GB) partition

3) Install Windows XP SP1 update

4) Apply Microsoft's large (137GBor greater) registry patch.

5) Create second partition with Disk Managment

If you're referring to the Windows XP installation program showing
only 128GB, the only way of "fixing" it is to use a version of the
Windows XP CD that has been modified by slipstreaming it with SP1.
