Help!

I am desperate trying to fix it...
The network conection is as follows: internet router to a computer, computer 1 to a hub, and hub to computer 2
Both have same local group, same mask, gateway, dns, and different IP
The issue is that i can ping from either end, but I cannot access from one to the other, not even having the same users and passwords created in both PCs. It appears a security violation... no firewall... basic secure configuration..

Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance, and regards ;

Cesar,

Check each computer to see if Simple File Sharing (Control Panel - Folder
Options - View - Advanced settings) is enabled or disabled.

If SFS is disabled, check the Local Security Policy (Control Panel -
Administrative Tools). Under Local Policies - Security Options, look at
"Network access: Sharing and security model", and ensure it's set to "Classic -
local users authenticate as themselves".

If you set the Local Security Policy to "Guest only", make sure that the Guest
account is enabled, and has a non-blank password. If "Classic", setup and use a
common account with identical password on both computers.

If that doesn't help, post ipconfig information for each computer.
Start - Run - "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in
Notepad, copy and paste into your next post.

Cheers,
Chuck
