In an attempt to give myself a fresh start, i reinstalled
windows on my computer. However, it reinstalled on my
otrher partition, so now i have two operating systems on
differnet parts of my hard drive. Does anyone know how
to delete one of these operating systems?

Boot to the one you want to keep. Use system properties, advanced, startup
and recovery. Make sure the one you want to keep is in the default box.
Change the timer to zero. Then use Windows Explorer to delete the Windows
folder of the other installation.

Thank you for that information. I am not sure which
windows folder to delete. Before I reinstalled windows,
the windows folder was on the C drive. When the
reinstall occured, the windows folder appeared on the D
drive as well. Which should I delete and is there any
concrete way of knowing which is currently in use?

Windows will not let you delete the systemroot that you are currently booted
to.
