First, I have had problems with a computer and tried to do a "repair". I
cannot get it to boot from CD. I have set the Bios to only boot from Cd and
it still refuses to boot from my XP CD, but it will autoload when windows is
up. It shows that it is attempting a boot and the cd light goes on. The CD
does not look damaged or anything. Can anyone steer me in the right
direction? What might I be overlooking?

Secondly, this may be a dumb question, but I have a hard drive that I took
out of my old Toshiba and am using it in my kids computer. It has been
Fdisked and formatted, but it still boots up with a big "Toshiba" screen. It
is a western Digital hard drive. How can I change that boot screen?
Thanks in advance
Pat

When booting from the CD, there should be a note (on my machine at least on
the last row) about press any key to boot from CD, for about 2 seconds
time.....

I have a friend with a similar problem and a gateway hard drive and some
GoBack logo. We would like to remove this from the hard drive.
