2 Personal folders, using Contact Manager

Installation is Outlook 2003, installed from the Small Business Edition
of Office 2003, also having Contact Manager installed.

Seem to have, by default, 2 lots of "personal folders" which mirror each
other in every way.

A clue as to why, and what to do to remove the superfluous folder would
be appreciated.

Have tried removing the PST file, and starting Outlook so it created a
new one, but the Personal Folder duplicate is still there.

This is a sign of a corrupted mail profile and is often caused by copying a
PST over the top of an identically-named PST. To correct the problem,
create a new mail profile (Control Panel>Mail>Show Profiles>Add) and point
it at your existing PST.

Which is what occurred, AIUI.

The latter has no 'browse' option .... i.e. I can't select anything
current to point to.

"Add" simply asks to create a new name. Am I missing something?

You're not at that point yet.

Enter the new name. You'll then be able to specify the data file(s) the
profile should use.

Mine opens the e.mail account wizard?

Yes. Set up the account. Once the profile is created, you can click
Properties and then point it at your existing PST.

Yes, but we already have e.mail accounts set up, will these be affected,
or do we just then point these existing accounts to our present PST?

You're creating a new profile. It doesn't have any connection to the old
profile. The old profile has accounts. The new profile has accounts. They
probably contain the same information (username, password, POP and SMTP
server names, etc) as the old accounts, but they won't affect the accounts
in the other profile. You point the profile (not the account) at the
existing PST.
