Hi,
Start/run msconfig, go to the boot.ini tab and click "check all boot paths".
See if this helps.
Otherwise, start/run C:\boot.ini
This will open boot.ini in notepad (assuming C:\ is your boot drive, if not
change it accordingly) and you can remove the unwanted reference from the
[operating systems] section.

I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my machine, and now when I start my
computer, I have to boot options to choose from (similar to GRUB in Linux).
Both of them are Windows XP Home, but it seems the second option tries to
boot from disk. I was wondering how to get rid of the second option and
boot by default into the first without having to choose on this screen.
