driver to Windows XP recognize my new S-ATA HDD. XP are

Any expiriences? Thanks. Ondra

Well first you need drivers for the controller, not the hard drive. Does
your SATA controller show up in the device manager? If not you should go to
the manufacturer of your SATA card to download drivers. If it is integrated
into the motherboard you would go to whoever made it. If it does show up in
the device manager the drive should be listed as well. Is the drive
partitioned and formatted, and have you assigned it a drive letter? You can
do this by going to Start, Run, and typing diskmgmt.msc. In the disk
management console, right clicking the new drive partition(s) and selecting
"Change drive letters or paths". Then click Add and give it a letter.

Hope that helps
