12 AM & 12 PM don't exist

You use these times, but they don't exist. AM means ante meridian and PM
mean post meridian and, since the 12th hour is the meridian, it can't be
before or after itself. Noon and midnight are the only correct terms,
regardless of what folks have come to use. (If you don't believe me, check
with the U. S. Naval Observatory.) You should delete 12AM and 12PM and
insert noon and midnight. You'll sleep better.

Noon is the meridian time, not midnight.

So what?

You are correct that NOON & MIDNIGHT are the correct terms to use for
00:00/24:00 or 12:00.

It does matter if one is correct.

What would these same people who make this mistake say if one asked them if
ZERO is POSITIVE or NEGATIVE? Would they say "Negative Zero" -0 or
"Positive Zero" +0? NO... then why do the same thing with NOON & MIDNIGHT?

Good post!
