When XP uses 700 MB of memory it starts to do nothing,
I mean no more programs run, no right click, no Save As dialog box, etc.

Does the error go away for a while if you reboot?

Try using Disk CleanUp to remove Temporary Internet Files.

One person reported solving the problem by disabling MSN
Add Ons. I am not absolutely clear what they meant but
in Internet Explorer see Tools, Manage Add Ons.

Hope this helps.

Are you using Firefox or Internet Explorer?

What are your anti-virus and anti-spyware arrangements?

To start notepad I have to close a program, to save an image from Internet
Explorer
-to show Save as dialog box- I must close something. I have a limit, but I
don't know why... When I try to start a program when I reached the limit, I
hear a beep sound.

Maybe you have a bad stick of RAM. Try removing one, and see what happens. If
the problem goes away, you found the problem. If not, swap the RAM sticks and
try again.

Also, make sure you have the RAM in the correct slots per the MoBo docs.
