outlookproblem

I have my outlook 2000 client configured to received
emails from my exchange server, at the same time, I am
trying to configure my attglobal email using 'outlook
express'. I am able to receive emails without any
problems. however, when I tried to send emails, it
prompts me server authentication error 530 ,
0x800ccc78.... I have checked on my laptop and the
settings seems to be all right. any ideas?

TQ

This means that your mail server has rejected the sender of the message
(presumably it doesn't like your "From" address). You may need to
authenticate to your outgoing mail server. Contact your ISP for information
about that.

Jeff,

If I am using my outlook 2000 to send and receive my
company emails. Can I, at the same time configure my
outlook express to my ISP emails?

Will my outlook express showing my company email
address "as from" instead of my private account email
address "as from" to authenticate with the ISP server?

Thanks

As long as you have direct connection to your ISP from inside your company's
network, yes. In fact, if your company's mail routers allow relay from
inside to outside, it doesn't matter if you can connect directly to your ISP
from inside.

If your company mail is Exchange, Outlook 2000 is probably not the best
version to use - while it does provide support in its Corporate/Workgroup
mode for a POP3 account along with an Exchange account, that support often
doesn't work the way people would like it to. You'll be better off
upgrading to Outlook 2002 or Outlook 2003, which support a mixture of
accounts much better.
