I was in a folder and hit CTRL+F to search within that
folder and got the following error msg:

The instruction at "0x77f57ec4" referenced memory
at "0x00000067." The memory could not be "written."
Click OK to terminate the program, click cancel to DEBUG.

This happens often enough to be annoying. Can someone
tell me how to fix this? Thanks.

That's surely a physical problem with the RAM memory. You should test it.

Thanks for the reply. I am at work though, so I'm not
sure if I should download anything. I am not sure what to
do when I go to the site you suggested
though.........Please clarify. Thanks (again)

Hi.

You need to get a memory diagnostic program as I've suggested to you.
A good program would be DocMemory. You can get it for free clicking the
following link:
http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/3001-2094-1534814.html

It's a small program, when you got it, simply run it and follow its
indications to complete the diagnostic. Obviously, you have to do all of
this at the problematic computer. This program will let you know if the RAM
memory has any problem.
