0x000000D1 Stop Error

I keep getting this stop error when trying to install
Windows XP on a new Western Digital HD. It happens just
before or a little into disk formatting. Here is the
full code that I get:

STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00CCDF08, 0x00000011, 0x00000000,
0xF9CCDB53)

usbubci sys - Address F9CCDB53 base at F9CCA000,
Datestamp 3b7d8688

The first few attempts at installation gave me only the
STOP parameters, then the last time I also got the second
line w/address and datestamp.

Can anyone help me identify what is going on??

Wes - the link you gave me doesn't pertain to my
problem. I'm not having issues with Windows Updater but
it's when I try to do a new install of XP on a new hard
drive that I get the Stop error.

The 0x000000D1 Stop Error seems to apply to a lot of MS items.
