Report Feature in BCM 2007

I like the report feature in BCM 2007 which allows you to generate a report
displaying business contacts that meet choosen criteria. My original
intention was to create a custom form in BCM 2007, enter in client
information, and be able to generate sublists via the report feature.
However, I can't customize the form in BCM to my satisfaction (namely, there
is no way to delete the default fields, only add new ones at the bottom).
Does anyone know if there is a similar report feature for My Contacts in
Outlook 2007. If not, does anyone have any recommendations for a piece of
software that has more functionality than Outlook?

Aren't there still report authoring programs on the market? I know
there used to be, and they could connect to popular databases (oracle,
sql server, dbase) and let you design custom reports.
