E-Mail links do not open to Internet

I will receive e-mail with a link to the Internet. When I click on the link
it takes me to "Locate Link Browser" to My Documents on my computer wanting a
File Name and the File Type states Executable Files. How do I get the links
to work?

Reset web settings should work goto internet options in control panel and
click programs now click Reset web settings.
