Asus M2N USB issues

Hi,

I have just installed an Asus M2N mobo that has problems with some USB
devices, particularly stability issues with the keyboard and a failure to
re-detect a force feedback joystick if the system is re-started from
Windows, rather than the PC being shut down completely and cold booted.

I've seen the odd post on the apprpriate Asus forum, no solution. I assume
that this may be a BIOS issue but obviously could also be a fault with the
chipset on this board.

Has anyone else had similar problems with this board and have you managed to
resolve them?

I don't have an answer but feel it can't be a chipset issue
if the problem is not exhibited across all boards with same
chipset.

IF it's bios, as with all boards and owners you may have to
wait awhile for the fix to be implemented. If you are
currently using the board jumpered to 5VSB powered ports,
you might try jumpering to 5V instead.

Thanks for taking the time to reply - I suspect that it is a BIOS issue
also. The chipset is used on many boards so it is probably not the problem.
All USB ports are default jumpered to 5V rather than 5VSB.

I've sent a request to Asus for assistance, but I'm not holding my breath!
