Windows 8.1 defragmentation issues

I have 8.1 on surface and tried to do a defrag and optimization on all drives. The RE Boot drive has Analyze button grayed out when you select it and will not enable the Optimize button. I had set all drives to auto optimize however message next to RE Boot says never run.but all other drives working fine .Am trying to keep PC clean and speed has slowed recently.Any help most grateful -

Certain drives cannot, should not, be Defragged ... use TRIM on SSD drives or let Windows manage them itself.

As Mucks said, if its an SSD then you don't need / shouldn't defrag it. Just let Windows sort itself out.
