I purchased at retail an Ultimate upgrade and will uninstall it when I get
my Windows 7 ultimate full install disk set. I also purchased a $49.99
Vista Home Premium anytime upgrade from MS that I have already uninstalled
from a laptop. It was installed using the upgrade disks bought at retail.

Problem - I'd like to sell the Ultimate upgrade disk set hopefully without
the anytime. If I needed to do an upgrade with teh anytime upgrade can I
use a copy of the retail disks ? How can I accomplish this legitimately ?

Anytime Upgrades are tied to the OS they upgrade, in your case the laptop's
OS. They are not transferrable without the original OS. If the laptops's
OS was OEM (preinstalled when you bought the machine) it is not tranferrable
and thus the AU is not either. Stick with the retail upgrade.

I used the AU to do a clean install.

Question is if I keep the product key can I use a copied disk to do the
install in the future ?
