SyncToy: Feature Request

I just started using this to sync some software between my laptop and my
desktop but the license/registration places a file in the directory which is
unique to the machine.

Any hope of adding a persistent exclusion of a file to SyncToy?

Alas, it seems that SyncToy is suffering from Vista neglect...everyone over
at Microsoft must be, as they should be, putting their energies into Vista,
including the "photo people": (see: http://blogs.msdn.com/pix/).
I really do not think that we will see any improvements in SyncToy until
Vista ships. Unfortunately, SyncToy could have been a must have app in every
photographer’s arsenal...if they finished it.
For example in Echo mode, despite repeated requests to the developers,
SyncToy will not delete empty folders...one is left with the redundant task
of going through the directories looking for empty folders...unacceptable.
Though Allwaysync (http://allwaysync.com/ ) is not as elegant and lack a few
features it is your best bet at the moment.

Actually any company with tens of thousands of employees should be able
to "walk and chew gum".

I find this excuse lame when applied to maintenance of current products.
(Though SyncToy may never be "maintained" since it is, after all,
a toy.)
