Has anyone else complained to ExcelForum.com about their fubarred message
threading? I just did. It appears they're appending response message IDs in the
References tag in the wrong order, as newID & oldReferences rather than the
standard oldReferences & newID.

Yeah - As I understand it, they're working on it, but I think it's
endemic in their portal software from VBulletin (there's another
site that does the same thing: http://www.mcse.ms/ - no affiliation
with either Microsoft or their MCSE certification).

On the plus side, Mr. Rubin has, at the request of Stephen Bullen,
removed the advertising that used to accompany each message, and has
changed the default poster identification on his site from "Guest",
who's registration status is "Not Yet", to "posted direct to
newsgroup", as well as making it more obvious that he's providing a
portal rather than running his own bulletin board.

Those are all signs of someone who wants to work with the newsgroup
community (and I find his site of far more value than MS's CDO
portal), so I'd cut him a little slack while he tries to work out
the threading issue.

Granted it beats CDO. I was polite in my e-mail (pehaps an uncharacteristic
departure from my normal state).
