Another company sends information to our company.
They have recently created an oft form which they populate the fields with
information for our company to respond to. Unfortunately when we receive the
emailed form its blank, none of the fields are populated.

Both use Exchange 2003. Although I do know how they created their email
message oft.

The other company sent us a copy of the Oft email message, where we tested
it by placing it into a public folder. Opened the message from there
populated some of the fields and sent to a test user. The form appeared fine
with fields populated as sent.
When we told the other company they did internal tests which worked fine but
as soon as it is sent externally the data is lost.

Are you able to throw out any ideas on this or would you require more
information on this?

First, you want to publish it to your Organizational Forms Library,
using the same name that they use in theirs.

Second, you should verify that they have set their contact item to your
company so that they always send in rtf format. This is done by opening
the contact item for your company, selecting the email address they use,
right-clicking it, choosing properties, and finally, on the properties
panel, either checking the box that is labeled always send to this
recipient in RTF format (for older versions) or setting the dropdown
list, labeled message format or something to that effect, to use rtf
format on all messages.

Also, *both* organizations would need to publish the form to the Organizational Forms library and make sure that the "send form definition with item" box is not checked.
