Display Adapter Driver Help Needed

I am trying to compentize a VIA/S3 CLE266 Display driver for a VIA
EPIA_M6000 Mini-ITX setup. I have tried downloaded VIA's pre-pacakged
component, and I have also downloaded the standard WinXP Drivers and
tried to create my own component by following the Steps in the MS
Windows XP Embedded Community Tips section of the MS website, but now
luck. After FBA runs, the systems boots in VGA mode and if I access
the Display settings, I get the message that the driver was "written
for a previous version of Windows. This driver is no longer compatible
with this version of windows"

This is the latest driver from the vendor (11/03) Has anyone else had
this problem, or does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

hi,

"this version of windows"..then u mean to say that the driver is not
compatible with XP. First of all - did you get the driver working in
the normal XP OS and if u did then there shouldnt be any problem in
having it done in the XPE.
You might then need to check into your component again ,whether you
are missing any dependency on some primitive components or other reg
resources.

Their are different version of the WINDOWS XP Driver for the VIA CLE266. I
have developed a XPE driver from wIShld of the CLE266 S3 Driver using the
component designer. You should make sure this driver works with full Windows
XP OS first.
