Why does WScript.exe want to access the Internet?

WScript.exe, which runs scripts in Word, wants to access
the internet as soon as I boot up. Does anybody know why
XP wants it to do this?

It is not a virus, but a component of Word.

WScript is part of the Windows Script Host, which
runs .vbs, .js, and .wsf script files. You should check
the things launching at startup with msconfig and look
for a script file being launched.

Many virii and worms use scripting languages, so it is
possible it is also a virus or worm.
