Upgrading harddrives

I want to upgrade my secondary hard drive to a larger capacity. How do I get
the files from my now installed hard drive to the new larger hard drive. I
then want to take my present secondary hard drive and make it my primary hard
drive. How do I transfer the current primary hard drive files to the
larger hard drive without re-installing Windows as I am totally current with
the updates and hope I won't have to re-install everything. I am using
Windows XP Professional. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Retail hard disks come with complete instructions and software for what you
want to do. You can find additional information in the online knowledge base
usually found in the vendor's technical support web site.

If all that's not satisfactory for you, you can buy third party software to
accomplish what you want to do.
