Windows XP Unable to Enable Local Area Connection

Hi All,

When I am trying to enable Local Area Connection in My Network Places its the status shows as Disabled (Faded) but i can obtain IP Address from DHCP Server and try to assign a static IP also. And the thing is I can access Internet, All network drives everything.....but the Local Area Connection is in disabled status. Please help me........l
