I can readily establish a Remote Desktop Connection to a Dell Dimension 8300 running Windows XP Professional from either of the other two Dell Dimension desktops running XP Home Edition inside the three-PC LAN operating within my home in Louisiana, USA. What I want to do is establish a RDC to my youngest daughter's Dell Dimension 8400 running XP Pro located in Florida, USA. We both have the same ISP - BellSouth - and we both enjoy Fast Access ADSL broadband service in our respective homes.
My lack of knowledge is this area is enormous - can anyone here offer any solace?
