Microphone not working

it worked before i did that now it is not working at all

See that's your problem. You should have left your putter alone and formatted
your sand wedge.

But seriously, how do you think anyone is going to be able to help you when you
don't even give the most obvious details, for example the Operating System you
are using. Did you install a current audio driver?, et cetera, et cetera, et
cetera...
