looking for a back up program

Do any of the back up programs make a complete backup of the hard drive......I mean one that if my drive craches I can plug it in and go like my original. This is for a home pc XP.
 
Yes, Acronis True Image and Norton's Ghost will do that for you.

Be aware that the Acronis program will not restore to a RAID 0 setup though.

It's fine with single disks.
