Not sure if this should have been posted under problems or here but anyway...

Have just re-installed Windows (XP Pro) and some of the shift+button keys dont match what appears on screen
e.g.... The inverted commas above the 2 key are swapped with the @ sign that goes with the apostrophe. Some of my symbols have disappeared totally like the hash key and the pound sign.

I cant reember how to sort it out, this happens every time i re-install.

Kenny :)

One day America may understand that they are NOT the only contry in the world. :D

Don't forget the "advanced" tab. ;)

I get that happen for seemingly no reason at all occasionally! It fixes itself at the next restart, or via the above method.

Did that happen to you, or has it always done that?

Deafult setting isnt it!
Bill Gates and his mates have always presumed that everyone is

ENGLISH (US)

they seem to have disregard us UK folk across the river as secondaries to them!

Every Windows installation "defaults" to US E ... sorry, but when will they learn, there is no such language.

I may be wrong, but could the answer be NEVER?:o Just a thought... No offense...

Hey. Sorry PSD and MUcks, but that didnt work. I had tried that first, and re-checked it just there to make sure, but nothing.

:(

Hey. Fixed it.

Start-> Control Panel-> Regional and Language Option-> Languages-> Options

As well as the tips PSD and Mucks said :) Team effort there... Go Team! :-p

Can't we all just get along....

Ok, then if everyone will standardize on English (US), we wouldn't have any problems like this!!!!

Damn straight!

If the keyboard shortcuts matched the US layout as mapped in windows I wouldnt be as bothered, but i`m too proud of my roots to change :) (Not BNP proud or anything as extreme as that, i`m just proud of my country... look at Scotlands achievements... Glasgow has the highest heart disease rate in Europe, worst drug abuse, worst drink (Tennants) etc etc etc...
No, but really, i love it and wouldnt change :)
Pointless aside, but there you go.

I've done both but mine still haven't swapped I don't think. I can post screen shots of what settings I've changed if it helps as maybe I've missed something
