Icons not changing to display forwarded items or replies

When i have forwarded or replied to a mail, the icons in my Inbox don't
always change to indicate this, can anyone help please? Thanks
 
A few questions:
- what version of Outlook are you using?
- might you be using a custom mail form that doesn't behave like a normal
one?
 
Hi there I am using outlook 2003 sp1 , running from an Exchange server...
 
I am experiencing the same problem. All of a sudden my reply and forward
arrows no longer display in my inbox. Can you tell me where to go to fix
this? I've searched all over. Thanks.
