Windows XP Find owner of file in common folder

Hi,
Can anybody guide me in finding the owner of a respective file or folder shared in common folder in windows XP?
If possible, solution would be appreciated more in non coding language. I am totally from non programming background.

I've not used XP for many years now, but you can probably find the usernames that own this file by right clicking on the file/folder and clicking properties > security > advanced > owner.
