Excel workbook

OK, I had no answer on my first question (Link Excel workbook to Powerpoint
slide)so here is another!
I have an excel workbook (Excel2003) which when opend shows as if two files
are open. They have the same data but the formating is diferent. I cannot
rightclick and paste and when I use the Edit-copy & paste into the Powerpoint
an error appears.
ERROR:
The server application, source file. or item can't be found, or returned an
unknown error. You may need to reinstall the server appliction.

Could someone please help me with this? I have a scheduled presentation
tomorrow and honestly do not know how I am going to fix this before then!

Your question may be better answered in a newsgroup appropriate to your
problem. Perhaps an Excel or PowerPoint newsgroup will be able to answer
your questions. This newsgroup is dedicated to the Microsoft Access database
product. The Microsoft website is not all that clear and may have
misdirected you.
