HELP!!!!

I use a number of spreadsheets at work that contain essential macros. Recently, some of the spreadsheets have gained an extra macro that is preventing us from using the spreadsheets with the macros enabled.
We are unable to access the macro to determine what it does, as we can't open the spreadsheets with macros enabled, and the macros have become password protected where they were not previously.
Our expert on excel and macros who has recently left, has no idea where this macro has come from!

We need to remove this one macro only, but have no idea how to go about it.

Any help will be greatfully appreciated!

If it appeared from nowhere, could this be a macro virus? Have you run an AV scan?

do you have the password or did it suddenly start asking for one?
