Date/Time Calculations In Query After Midnight

I am a moderate user in Access 2010. I'm trying to make a criteria in a query where the time is past midnight. I wan to run 3rd shift reporting and currently im using
>DateAdd("h",8,Date()-1. 3rd shift starts @ 9pm - 5am. I'm still not getting the accurate results needed. Can someone please help?
