Who can we trust?

:(

Very disturbing to hear reports like that, but I'm sure it does go on to be honest. Large amounts of money can be made from spyware, so they must have some cash to play with.

Luckily there are plenty of people "on the ball" out there, so any foul play will probably result in a negative effect for any company being sneaky :)

WHO CAN WE TRUST

No one but ourselves i think its up to us to do all we can to protect our own machines....:(

I do run ad-aware and search and destroy, with zonealarm suite as my software firewall but i still run a dedicated hardware firewall aswell, so as not to rely totally on software to catch everything......

Even so yes this is unsettling and has raised a wave of paranoia on all the forums and bbs's all over the web....

Good thing MY computer doesent touch the net. Of course playing HL2 is out of the question as well since i have the game and cant play it:mad: without a internet connection....
