I recently installed an update to Quickbooks. The start
menu nofified me that I have installed a new program. I
have opened and worked in Quickbooks several times now
however the start menu keeps telling me I have a new
program installed and Quickbooks is highlighted. How can
I get it to recognize it is no longer a newly installed
program?
Your assiatnce is greatly appreciated as this problem
it's starting to get annoying.

Right click the Start button and choose properties.
Click "Customize."
Go to the Advanced tab of the "Customize Start Menu" sheet and uncheck
Highlight newly installed programs.
Click OK.
