The only way I have found to read a .awd file is to find
a 98 system and change the file to .tif file and then
transfer to xp system. Is there any other way to read
this type of file?

Hello!

The retail Windows XP CD-ROM contains a

\I386\WIN9XMIG\FAX\AWDVSTUB.EXE file, which will convert

an AWD file to a TIFF file. Copy it to a folder in your

path. To convert a AWD to a TIFF file, type:

AWDVSTUB /c <Drive:>\FolderX\FileName.AWD

[<Drive:>\FolderY\FileName.TIF]

My Win XP came pre-loaded on my computer and only a restore CD was provided. Do you know of any other way to obtain AWDVSTUB.exe
thanks
