My XP is stalling for about 5 mins after initial start up. Also in my
add/remove programme list there is a very large blank space between the first
few entries and the last, (about 5 screens).
Can anyone help please, I have run spyware and adware checks etc??
Thanks Alistair

Hi Alistar,
My XP is stalling for about 5 mins after initial start up.

How to Troubleshoot By Using the Msconfig Utility in Windows XP [Q310560]

AS for writing to your DVD, what software are you using? XP's built-in
software does not normally dod DVDs.

Wrong again, Yves.

XP's built-in software does not write to DVDs at ALL. It can only
write sessions to CDR(W) media.

Interesting. I don't know that it will ever catch on though, as it is
a CLI program and most users don't want to have to type cryptic
command strings to accomplish something - they want the GUI.

I agree, just thought it was worth mentioning.. Although, if Microsoft has
a command line available - how long until they or someone else GUI's it? heh

If you were to read the URL, it seems to state that the DVDburn is part of
Server 2003. This would/could indicate that the tool will be available in
the next version of Windows (aka Longhorn??).

Where does it follow that something on a Server OS now will be
available on a client OS in the next version? I'm still waiting for
Active Directory for XP, but for some reason they didn't include it.
