When I try to install windows xp sp2 I get this error
Service Pack 2 Setup Error
Unable to read from or write to the database

you're not the only one. Today I suddenly see several messages
very similar to yours.

Where did you get the Service Pack 2 from?

Perhaps it would help to order it on CD and use that to install
it.
