XP Security Center Issues

I keep getting the Security Center popping up every time I restart my PC
telling me to activate my firewall.
I activate the firewall.... then it turns itself off! ?????
This has just started happening and I have had the SP2 for several months
now.
I am running ZoneAlarm free in addition to XP firewall. Always have.
Never had these problems before.
Anyone having this problem?

Thanks,

When you have ZA installed there's no need to keep the XP one running.
Also, the *latest* version of ZA free is reported to have some problems with
XP's security center. Try version 5.1.033 instead. You'll get it from
zonelabs itself. If you find the security center intrusive simply modify
the way it prompts you, or disable the service, if you're confident of
running a firewall/AV reliably.

Loading Zone Alarm will turn off the Windows firewall as not necessary.
If you have an up to date version (now at 5.5.062) it will also be
telling Service Center that it is present and correct. In SC you can
click on the left, 'change way. . . advises me' and tell it not to
report about the firewall
